I am here to work with you on this problem. I just wanted to see if anyone has any other things I can try before going the next step and buying a new network card and seeing if that fixes the issue. I am a bit OCD when it comes to testing my internet speed, which I do it regularly, so I know the problem has been around for a month or less. I even tried a different network cable just in case but nothing I have tried various settings regarding Windows update, internet bandwidth settings and Windows auto-tuning. Uninstalled and reinstalled it from device manager.
#Asus n15 slow speeds driver#
I have updated the driver for my network adapter. My Plex server as the host and my other computer as a client and get normal transfer speeds for my gigabit connection, around 910 to 930 mbps, which makes me believe that the network adapter is working correctly. I downloaded a utility called iperf that tests speeds between 2 computers, using I have deactivated all background programs and even tried testing in safe mode with networking and still get the slower speeds.

Malwarebytes and Ccleaner and have found nothing. I have checked for viruses and malware using Bitdefender, I have another computer that I use for a Plex server and when I test on that computer I get 400+ mbps download speeds. The computer is connected using cat 6 cable, so its not a Wi-Fi issue. I have a 400+ mbps connection and when I do download speed tests (,, ) I am now getting somewhere between 100Īnd 200 mbps.

For the last month or so, I have noticed that my Windows 10 PC is getting way slower than usual download speeds.
